First, the table on B432 surprised me that the Sedan of all TLs is the most
armored civilian road vehicle, more than jeeps, busses, and "heavy" bikes.

Perhaps modern cars have a layer of non-rigid DR?

I have a feeling that the modern car should have a footnote to protect the
/occupants/ in a collision more. Perhaps it will absorb TL damage that would
be inflicted upon the occupants, from directions (and crushing collisions)
not covered by seatbelts (DR5) and airbags (DR10) (B432).

In TL7- cars, this also protects the vehicles by 1/2, but in TL8+, this is
damage blocked is instead sustained by the vehicle.
