The things I find virtuous about the Pyramid groups are:

- not available to absolutely anyone in an automated way, which has kept
out at least some of the message posters and trollish types (not to
mention the people with nothing to say). I can't replicate that, since I
shan't be charging, but I can at least try to keep an eye on problematic
posters.

- not using standard forum software, but instead using standard
message-passing protocols, which encourages people who can still write
actual sentences.

In short, "role-playing discussions that aren't l33t". That's what I'm
aiming for here too.

As to what value you'd add, well, you certainly seem to have interesting
things to say here. Whether you'd find it a more or less interesting
audience than the mailing-list community, I have no idea.
