  During the Long Night, the planet Sonthert lost most technology. Some 
historical knowledge was retained, which explains why the standard long 
range vessel was named after an Interstellar Wars era cruiser class.
  The schooner has two masts with bermuda and jib sails. Her sleek hull 
is heavily reinforced to weather storms far from home and copper-plated 
to reduce fouling. She has room for about 25 crew, 75 passengers and 40 
displacement tons of cargo. The schooner has no engines, but a battery 
powers a few electric lights, tools and instruments. She has gun ports 
for a few small muzzleloaders, but usually no weapons are carried. 
  The listed payload includes two pinnaces, 200 stons of cargo, and 36 
stons of provisions. The food is $36,000 and lasts for two months. 

Subassemblies: Body +8, two Masts +3. 
Powertrain: 12,000-sf Bermuda-and-Jib rig; 1-kW muscle engine; 1,250-kWs 
  lead-acid battery.
Occ: 5 RCS, 96 hammocks, 2 cabins.   Cargo: 20,000 cf.

Design Notes
  Body is 49,600 cf with fine lines and heavy compartmentalization. 
Masts are 126' and 200 cf. Structure is heavy and standard. Armor is 
standard wood, covered by DR 1 expensive metal on body F, R, L, B, U. 
Waterproofed. Primitive controls. 450.271 cf of empty space. Empty 
weight is 500,000 lbs.
The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third 
printing, Dec 2004 errata], VXi (rig and sailing performance) and VXii 
(armor volume) with the text format from Vehicles Lite. The Traveller 
background affects the design decisions, not the technology.
