This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or
later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de

Cyborg Scoutship v1.0 (TL10)
  Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer

A sufficiently advanced technology might be able to transplant a human
brain into a starship. What that tells us about the society best remains
unsaid, but the plot possibilities are obvious ...
The Cyborg Scoutship has a hyperdrive for interstellar flight and twin
fusion engines for orbital and atmospheric operations. Her reaction mass
allows a delta-V of 85 km/s, which is sufficient for several landings on
earthlike worlds. The ship has quarters for up to eight passengers and a
maintenance crewman, with supplies for three months.
The engines use 4,000 gallons of reaction mass per hour. It takes 17
hours to recharge the power cells for a hyperspace entry, or 5 seconds
to recharge one laser pulse. A full load of provisions is $5,400.

Subassemblies: Body +6, three retractable Skids +2, full-rotation Pop
  Turret +0.
Powertrain: Two vectored 100,000-lb. fusion ram-rockets; 50-ton
hyperdrive; two 500-kW RTGs; fifty 360,000-kWs rechargeable E power
  cells.
Fuel: 4,000 gallons water.
Occ: Single-occupancy cabin, four double-occupancy cabins.
Cargo: 120 cf.

Design Notes
Body is 6,000 cf, with very good streamlining and lifting body. Skids
are 300 cf, retract into body. Turret is 6 cf, retracts into body.
Structure is robotic, medium and standard. Armor is advanced composite.
Tanks are light and self-sealing. Sealed. Computerized controls. There
are 17.9 cf of empty space. Empty weight is 60,000 lbs.
