Don't worry about it being "a little too powerful".  Part of the point
of the Jedi is their marked restraint with the use of incredible
power.  The Sith show less restraint, but also have a corrupted and
thus limited connection to force powers.  But a Sith Lord can kill you
in a moment with his thoughts.
