I would agree, but for something that is 12 hexes large, it may be of
interest if it is 12 hexes long (12x1), or just 4 hexes (4x3). This is
much more of interest for animals that are towing a cart: assume you
have to run a team of animals when the first one is round about 50
meters ahead of you and the cart ... and then think about the first
village or small town you have to pass - that one where the road changes
its direction from mainly North to mainly West ...
