Does anyone want to error check this? Knowing me, there's half a dozen
errors and typos in this design. But if I get the spreadsheet debugged
I can crank out bunch of airships for you.
Zeppelin LZ120 (type y) Bodensee
As World War I ended, the Zeppelin company quickly turned from
military airships to commercial products. The Bodensee returned to the
prewar model of a small short-range airship for interurban travel and
aerial tourism, but with all the technical advances learned during the
war. The Bodensee carried 21 passengers on a daily run from
Friederichafen and Berlin and back, plus aerial tours of Berlin.
Notes: Exact Areas rule. I used Excellent Streamlining and late TL6
props to match historical airspeed. The generator in the passenger
gondola is a small windmill attached outside the gondola that
generates power from the airship's windstream. (100 lbs, 2 cf, $100)
For simplicity, I used one fuel tank in the Main Body and one gasbag
instead of the multiples in the real vehicle.
