  This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or
later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de

Hyperfighter v1.0 (TL13)
  Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer

  The fighter spacecraft has a sufficiently advanced technology for most
science fiction games - a force screen, contragrav and engines that defy
physics as we know it ...
  The Hyperfighter is built around the engine room with a fusion reactor
and twin engines. The cockpit is sandwiched between two missile bays and
the nose gun. In flight, the force screen generator provides stealth and
aerodynamic streamlining to the boxy hull. On the ground, the nanotech
hull forms hatches and steps as required.
  It takes nine hours to recharge the power cells after each hyperspace
jump, or 36 minutes for a minimum-speed entry.

Subassemblies: Body +5.
Powertrain: Two 300,000-lb. super reactionless thrusters; two 300-ton
  hyperdrives; two 160,000-lb. contragrav generators; 40,000-kW fusion
  reactor; 400 630,000-kWs rechargeable E power cells.
Occ: 2 RCS.

Weaponry
20-MJ Rapid Pulse Fusion Gun [Bod:F] (200 shots) +2.
Two 3,600-lb. weapon bays.

Equipment:
  Body: Full stabilization for Rapid Pulse Fusion Gun; two extreme range
gravity ripple communicators; two long range neutrino communicators; two
400-mile AESAs, LPI; two 800-lightsecond FTL radars; two 400-mile PESAs;
1,600-mile multiscanner; 40-mile gravscanner; two level 10 surveillance
sound detectors; two sets of precision navigation instruments; four IFF;
four inertial navigation systems; two terrain-following radars; two
HUDWACs with pupil scanners; 5-mile laser optics detector; deceptive
jammer, rating 16; two C9 hardened microframe computers; two terminals;
two neural interface fields; compact fire suppression system; two
cyberswarm hives, armored crawler, rechargeable AA cell, repair swarms;
two cyberswarm hives, contragrav flyer, rechargeable AA cell, medical
swarms; two 2-man full life systems; crew escape capsule; two gravity
webs; shaped, stealth screen generator, FSR 10. External: Basic emission
cloaking; basic sound baffling; basic stealth; intruder chameleon;
radiation shielding.

Design Notes
  Body is 2,000 cf, with fair streamlining, underbelly skids, and heavy
compartmentalization. Structure is extra-heavy, standard, living metal.
Armor is advanced laminate. Self-sealing. Computerized controls with
dual maneuver controls. There are 26.18 cf of empty space. Empty weight
is 72,000 lbs.
