This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or
later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de

IISS Light Automated Surveillance Satellite v1.0 (GURPS Traveller TL10)
Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer
The IISS employs Light Automated Surveillance Satellites to interdict
less critical Red Zone worlds. A visible satellite and the fact that it
might report to a stealthy starship is often sufficient to deter casual
trespassers.
The satellite consists of a core hull and four sensor masts. The core
hull mounts the reactor, maneuver drive, computers and two workstations
for maintenance crews. The sensor masts mount the radscanner (to detect
the jump flash of incoming ships) and the passive EM array (to identify
ships as they close). Planetary surveillance systems are used to track
developments on the interdicted world.
The LASS has a medium, robotic, dispersed hull with open armor over a
medium, robotic subhull with total compartmentalization.
Subassemblies: Dispersed Hull +6, Subhull +6, Sensor Signature +12.
Powertrain: 1/2 Maneuver [Subhull].
