I think my Multirole Submarine will be something that could have been
a second-line UEO troubleshooter, the boat that minds the Pacific while
Bridger cruises the Atlantic, or vice versa. Slightly smaller and slightly 
slower than the SeaQuest, but useful for the same kind of adventures.

I'm going to boost the endurance (mostly food supplies, since it uses 
fusion power) and the strategic weaponry (ABM and SLBM). She has 
room for 4,000 cf of subcraft, which could be a sub-shuttle and a few 
crabs (in UEO service) or a flight of subfighters.

Unlike the Planetary Defense Submarine a couple of weeks ago, the 
new boat can carry marines, or scientists, or refugees.
