This is one reason I prefer to a more space opera kind of feel.

For some reason, obviously fantastic hand waving seems more acceptable on another planet than it does under the ocean.

One could just do what SeaQuest and VTTBS did and ignore it. The pressure magically stays the same all the way down, past 20 feet or so.

How many players would spot this? How many would call you on it?
