mathematical talent...deficient mathematical preparation...reaction time
adequate...eyesight good"
These negative items could be overcome with enough work (he scores a
regular date with a dropship captain tutoring him in math late in the
book, and shows improving ability to manage and work with areas and
volumes of potential engagement), so he may not be inherently
unsuitable, he's just not a worthwhile candidate for efficient use of
limited training resources.
