Please pay attention, I specified "a top-notch aviator." The girls
flying the MI's dropships and pickup boats are literally *the* *best*
pilots the human race has to offer, because the MI fights under the
worst conditions the enemy has to offer.
Johnny himself has been flying his personal helicopter around the world
during his later years of high school enough that when he's shipped
from the Phillipines to Canada he only mentions something about "the
northern prairies" but he's still considered underprepared for any kind
of naval piloting.
