  This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the 
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial

  The Construction Walker is used to build bases on habitable worlds. It 
is a compact, bipedal vehicle with a steel cage for the operator and two 
telescoping arms. The legs provide exceptional agility in tight quarters 
and the arms are more flexible than a crane or power shovel. The Walker 
can fold into a 3' by 4' by 6' configuration for transport and reach up 
to 15' at full arm extension.

Powertrain: 4-kW legged drivetrain; 7.5-kW RTG.
Occ: CCS.

Design Notes
  Body is 25 cf. Legs are 7.5 cf each. Arms are 5 cf each, extended 
reach 4 yards. Structure is extra-heavy, cheap. Improved suspension. 
Armor is open frame, cheap metal. Computerized controls. There are 2.92 
cf of empty space in the body, 5.54 cf in each leg and 3.29 cf in each 
arm. Empty weight is 1,800 lbs. Body ST is 240. 
  The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third 
printing, Dec 2004 errata], Mecha (the reach and ST rules) and VXii (the 
armor volume rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
