Here are civilian occultists for four Allied powers of WWII. Most of them can be shifted to other nations or earlier times with little change. Some of these characters are also suitable for use as military occultists; see p.W:WW48.
--------------------------
Joe the American Occultist
Setting: WWII, Cliffhangers
ST: 10 [0]; DX: 10 [0]; IQ: 13 [30]; HT: 10 [0]
Advantages: Intuition [15]
Disadvantages: Lecherousness [-15]; Reputation (Kook or Sell-out) [-5]; Weirdness Magnet [-15]
Skills: Area Knowledge (New York City)-13 [1]; Area Knowledge (New Jersey Pine Barrens)-13 [1]; History (Medieval western Europe)-16/10 [1]; Merchant-12 [1]; Occultism-13 [2]; Public Speaking-12 [1]; Research-12 [1]; Ritual Magic (Wicca)-11 [2]; Sex Appeal-9 [1]; Writing-13 [2]
Languages: English-13 [0]; Old English-12 [1]; Middle English-12 [1]
Notes: This NPC represents an occult writer (specializing in lurid witchcraft fiction). Apart from his readers, he is cnsidered a kook by the general public and a sell-out by serious occultists. The Pine Barrens is most infamously linked with the Jersey Devil.
-------------------------
Jane the British Occultist
Setting: WWII, Cliffhangers
ST: 10 [0]; DX: 10 [0]; IQ: 13 [30]; HT: 10 [0]
Advantages: Second Sight [5]
Disadvantages: Bad Sight (Farsighted) [-10]; Cowardice [-10]; Curious [-10]

Languages: English-13 [0]; Latin-12 [1]; Scots Gaelic-12 [2]
Notes: This a "field research" occultist, who spends most of her time in the Scottish Highlands interviewing old prople and writing down lore that has only been passed down orally until now and is in danger of being forgotten. As a result, her knowledge is more academic than practical. In the US, such a researcher might deal with a Native American tribe.
------------------------
Joe the Russian Occultist
Setting: WWII, Cliffhangers
ST: 10 [0]; DX: 10 [0]; IQ: 13 [30]; HT: 9 [-10]
Advantages: ESP Power 3 [9]
Disadvantages: Hard of Hearing [-10]; Impulsiveness [-10]; Phobia (Necrophobia) [-10]
Skills: Diplomacy-12 [2]; Hidden Lore (Atlantis)-12 [4]; Musical Instrument (Piano)-12 [2]; Psionics-15 [8]; Psychology-12 [2]; Physiology-12 [1]; Research-12 [1]; Writing-12 [1]
Psi Skills: Precognition-12 [2]; Psychometry-12 [2]
Languages: Russian-13 [0]
Notes: This NPC is a psi who, through years of self-training, became an expert in the field of psionics. Although he lacks expertise in the areas of psionic technology and psionic eugenics of interest to the Soviets, he is often consulted because of his overall knowledge. His study of Atlantis began as a minor hobby, but has grown to a belief that the Atlanteans did not have advanced technology but were masters of mind over matter.
-----------
Joe the French Occultist
Setting: WWII, Cliffhangers
ST: 10 [0]; DX: 9 [-10]; IQ: 13 [30]; HT: 10 [0]
Advantages: Telepathy Power 4 [20]
Disadvantages: Bully [-10]; Intolerance (Women) [-5]; Laziness [-10]; Overweight [-5]; Ugly [-10]

Psionic Skills: Emotion Sense-12 [2]; Telereceive-12 [2]
Languages: French-13 [0]; English-13 [1]; German-13 [1]
Notes: This unpleasant NPC is a bit more of a house builder than an occultist, but could prove of use with a desperate (resistance) group. He could also make a good minion of a more powerful villain.
