  This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. My site is down for rebuilding, but sooner or
later the old stuff should reappear at omeyer.gmxhome.de

Nanofactory Ship v1.0 (TL13)
  Copyright 2008 by Onno Meyer

  The Nanofactory Ship carries an advanced nanofac to backwater colony
worlds. Proximity to the customers makes up for the small scale of the
operation, or so the theory goes ...
  The engines and avionics of the standard light freighter are largely
unchanged, with changes concentrated in the payload area. The boat bay
holds the manufacturing tank, rated for 8' by 8' by 8' objects up to a
ton. The cargo hold contains support systems and 50 tons of nano feed
material. For defense against space pirates, the Nanofactory Ship is
armed with a quad gatling blaster in a remotely operated turret.
  It takes 29 hours to recharge the cells for a hyperspace entry and 9
seconds to recharge a blaster shot.

Subassemblies: Body +7, four retractable Skids +3, full-rotation pop
  turret +1.
Powertrain: Two 400,000-lb. reactionless thrusters; 400-ton hyperdrive;
  two 800,000-lb. contragrav units; 75-kW RTG; 48,000-kW fusion reactor;
  seven 31,500,000-kWs rechargeable power cells.
Occ: 10 RCS, 10 single-occupancy cabins.   Cargo: 2,900 cf.

Design Notes
  Body is 24,000 cf, with very good streamlining and lifting body. Skids
are 1,200 cf, retract into body. Turret is 17.5 cf, retracts into body.
Structure is heavy and standard. Armor is expensive metal. Sealed.
Computerized controls with duplicate maneuver controls. There are 54 cf
of empty space. Empty weight is 200,000 lbs.
