Excellent, Thanks all!
My basic book is with the player who wants the multiform character - and the rest of my GURPs library is with me.... until Friday when I need this info - how conveeenient - not!
So I was having issues coming up with some of the numbers and advantages.
You also forgot claws 15pnts.
Horizontal is the disadvantage they list in the shapeshifters book when they templated the wolf - but they also listed four feet as an advantage - the one cancelled out the other so I wasn't going to mention it. I agree with you on the inconvienient size issue. I'm not going to play around with the age thing - the player is new to GURPs and will have enough to think about without having to track her character aging at different rates.... but the extra sleep - good call.

Hi Sue,
Breaking it down as I did, I'm sure that it can be exanded even further,
but this is what I get thus far...

-61 points

ST: 3 [-36]
IQ: 10 [0]
DX: 10 [0]
HT: 13/3 [30]
Move: 5 Dodge: 5 Speed: 5.75
Damage: Punch: 1d-9; Kick: 1d-7; Thrust 1d-7; Swing 1d-7.
Advantages Dark Vision [25]; Catfall [10].
Disadvantages Color Blindness [-10]; No Fine Manipulators [-30].

I didn't include anything for speed or anything, so that has to change one
way or another. The Inconvienent size attribute may come into play, but
then you get the benefit of having the smaller size for being able to get
in and out of locations. The Inconvienent size disadvantage if I recall
correctly, stems from "compared to a normal member of the society you're
interacting with". If a player came to me and said "I think the cat form
should have this disadvantage" my response to me is "Are you always in cat
form? Do you have a choice to interact with humanity as in human form or
cat form?" etc. On that basis alone I'd rule out inconvienent size. I
don't recall if quadrupedal stance is a disadvantage or not (Is that the
horizontal disadvantage?). If you want to get cute about it? Cats
generally have a shorter lifespan than humans do. If you wanted to, you
could treat each "day" in cat form as accelerated aging such that the
person just aged 4 days give or take. Also? Cats sleep about 16 hours per
day on average (or so a cat magazine I read in a vet's office referred to)
- so you may want to include the needs extra sleep disadvantage. I think
it is all up to how you want to portray the cat form in your campaign. Me?
I get a ballpark figure of -61 just off the top of my head. Oh, almost
forgot: Hereditary enemy: dogs ;)
