  The Aerospace Microfighter is a modified racing spacecraft, armed with 
a 10mm railgun under the nose and two small wingtip lasers. She could be 
at home among the moons of Jupiter, a terraformed Mars or the Belt. 
  True to her racing origins, the fighter has an impressive atmospheric 
speed and acceleration, while avionics and endurance are below military 
standards. A simple stealth coating protects her from civilian sensors. 
  A full load of railgun ammunition is $6,000.

Subassemblies: Body +3, four retractable Wheels +0, two Wings -1. 
Powertrain: 24,000-lb. fusion rocket; eight 270,000-kWs rechargeable 
  power cells.
Fuel: 200 gallons water.
Occ: 1 NCS.

Design Notes
  Body is 246 cf, with radical streamlining. Wheels are 12.3 cf, retract 
into body. Wings are 2 cf. Structure is extra-light, advanced, 
responsive. Armor is advanced, fire-proof ablative. Sealed. Tanks are 
ultra-light. Computerized controls. There are 21.6 cf of empty space in 
the body and 0.875 cf in each wing. 3,000 rounds 10mm APS are stored in
the body. Empty weight is 2,800 lbs.

  The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [2nd edition, 3rd 
printing, Dec 2004 errata], VXi and VXii (including the armor volume 
rule) with the text format from Vehicles Lite.
