We have to start with a better definition before we can answer that
question. Your first sentence is equivalent to "a schmarsleck is made
by a schmarsleck maker". You defined a term with itself, so I begin
with little clue what this is. Is it a bipedal human-looking being?
Is it a non-corporeal being with a cartoonish semblance? Is it a
projection of the master's spirit, or an external being either
entrapped or partnered to share the mind of this master?
What I know: It's a "willing slave", echoes the abilities of its
"master", has no psionic abilities, has a mental disadvantage linked
to the potential loss of master, is indestructible, and is created
through a process I'd have to spend four months studying to perform.
That doesn't tell me much. Perhaps we should start at the beginning
and ask /all/ the questions one asks while creating a race (or a
spirit?).
