This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. With a slight delay, old vehicles appear
at http://omeyer.gmxhome.de/GURPSnet_files/summary.html

Dragon Republic Type 50 Heavy Lift Helicopter v1.0 (TL9)

Compared to their Terran Union counterparts, Dragon Republic armored
vehicles are small and underpowered. The Type 50 Heavy Lift Helicopter
is one of the reasons - all of the vehicles in an armored division are
designed to fit into this transport or the older Type 27 tiltrotor.
The Type 50 has a boxy fuselage with coaxial main rotors to keep the
cargo ramp free of obstructions. The cockpit has four workstations for
the pilot, the copilot/gunner, the navigator/tail gunner and the cargo
master. The cargo hold is roughly 50' by 12' by 12', with a niche over
the cockpit to accommodate the long barrel of MBU railguns. The fusion
reactor is mounted on a bulge on over the hold.
The Heavy Lift Helicopter is armed with four PD lasers. Banking away
>from a threat unmasks the tail mount and the two belly mounts, so that
is the usual response to a hot LZ ... the Type 50 is too sluggish for
air assaults.
The reactor has enough power to recharge two shots every second.
