Hi Guys,
  I haven't been paying attention to the thread very much, so I apologize
for not having done so.  The last post (and first for that matter) of
the thread I read indicated that the person believed that Gandalf's
stats should be higher.

For what it is worth, Gandalf was supposed to be one of the Middle Earth
Equivalents of a demi-angel.  Tolkien had a special name for that
particular breed of beings - and I can't remember off hand what they are. 
That being the case, raising Gandalf's stats would make a LOT of sense.
