I'd certainly use it as a balancing trick for someone who wanted to buy
up Extra Attack that much, if I even allowed it.

Subject: [gurps] Extra Attack w/ one handgun/shotgun
I was watching a video on youtube, and saw a man fire an Extrema2 12ga
shotgun something like *12* times in
1.73 seconds. So I know that it's technically possible.
Extra Attack as written is somewhat ambiguous, since the second
paragraph states that Extra Attack is essentially Ambidexterity and Dual
Weapon Attack for
15 extra points (yes, with any weapon, but that's still overcosted), and
the third paragraph says it's an extra action, which may be only an
Attack, or All-Out Attack, which is how I read it anyways.
So although it is never flat-out stated, I believe there's certainly
nothing wrong with a character with Extra Attack x1 making two attacks
at ROF 3 with his
TL8 9mm handgun, each turn.
But what if he has Extra Attack x40?
So I guess the real question(s) is, what is the theoretical maximum ROF
for your basic TL8 handgun and shotgun? 15? 30? 60? Should it make HT
rolls past a certain number? How about Fine weapons? Any real world
examples? Are there any specific weapons with a dramatic difference?
So fire away.
