GURPS Spaceships is encouraging. Figures. Just as I was putting some polishing touches on my [I called it] "A More Generic GURPS 4e Starship Builder". Was having some difficulty resolving game balance at different tech levels, and I had to extrapolate (using Space 3e as a basis) to "TL16".
Still, it will be fun to compare how the powers that be (Mr. Pulver) resolved the situation and what I came up with. Also, it means that "Prime Directive" will be able to come out with an updated 4e-based Star Trek starship book shortly thereafter.
Overall, cool news.
I'd be curious how people answered some of the survey questions regarding the space combat system. A new thread?
Also, incidentally FYI, I just ordered a couple of DVDs-- all 40+ years of X-Men and Fantastic Four (and others) comics in PDF format (up to roughly June, 2006). As a childhood collector of comics, this is a cool, fairly cheap way for the adult me to fill in the gaps of those "back issues" I could never find, as well as see what's happened to my childhood heroes since I stopped collecting-- egads, nearly 20 years ago. So if any of you are interested (I was stoked)-- well, I got mine through Amazon 3rd parties.
