I saw one of those science 'digest' programs (on Discovery channel?) about a 
year ago that featured this guy.  I caught only the tail end of the segment 
so I don't know what all was involved in the surgery/setup, but he had a 
hole cut into the top of his head where the connectors could pass through. 
They showed him as he tried to draw a circle and got a really lop-sided 
box... but that's something I'm sure would improve with practice.
