Why not house that soulburner gestalt inside a huge 'flying
fortress' made out of granite or some other tough material, and
equip said fortress with 'gatepults', demon summoning/storage
items or other devastating magical weapons appropriate for
the TL in question, and if possible add means to open gates between
planes/worlds - Then this force projection capability could be used
to gain an ever increasing amount of power, eventually enabling
the evil necromancer to start targeting gods of the setting in an
attempt to become the supreme ruling being of that universe..

My point being, why think small with such a huge source of energy
available? Why not create a whole arsenal of different powerful
magical enchantments/items instead of just one?
